Seeley succeeds Ryan Collins who in now Executive Director

MIDDLETOWN, PA – October 1, 2026 – The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) recently hired Thane Seeley, to serve as Deputy Executive Director. 

Seeley joined SARAA in August 2026 following a nationwide search for a Deputy Executive Director. In this role, Seeley will provide operational leadership across SARAA’s four-airport system, including Harrisburg International Airport (MDT), Capital City Executive Airport, Gettysburg Regional Airport and Franklin County Regional Airport.

Seeley brings extensive experience in airport operations, maintenance, regulatory compliance, safety and emergency preparedness. He most recently served as Director of Airport Operations at Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA), where he led airport operations, FAA Part 139 compliance, Safety Management System implementation, training, budgeting and operational readiness.

After beginning his aviation career in FBO and aircraft operations, Seeley joined XNA in 2013 as an Airport Operations Specialist II. He advanced through several leadership positions during his tenure, including Airport Operations Manager, Senior Airport Operations Manager and Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance before becoming Director of Airport Operations.

Seeley earned a Bachelor of Air Transportation Administration from the University of Nebraska and is a Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
