REAL ID Mobile Verification Event at Harrisburg Intl. Airport
(Middletown, PA – March 8, 2019) – PennDOT will be offering a REAL ID Mobile Verification event at Harrisburg International Airport on Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13 from 5-8pm. The event will provide an opportunity for those who need a REAL ID to travel to have their documents verified, without having to go to a PennDOT license Center. The event will take place in the ticketing area of the terminal on the 1st floor. Attendees should park in the garage and walk over to the terminal. Parking fees will be waived for those attending the event.
PennDOT staff will be available to scan the required documents and mark the driver’s record as “REAL ID Eligible. Driver’s will then be able to apply for their REAL ID online, pay the applicable fees, and the ID will be mailed to them directly.
Per federal REAL ID regulations, PennDOT needs to verify original versions or certified copies of the following documents:
- Proof of Identity
- Common examples: Original or certified copy of a birth certificate with a raised/embossed seal issued by the department of vital records (not a sticker) or valid U.S. Passport or Passport Card Please note that hospital or commemorative certificates are not acceptable

- Proof of Social Security Number
- Social security card
(Please note that the name on your social security card MUST match the name on your proof of identity document (birth certificate or passport)
- Social security card
- Proof of all Legal Name Changes
- Common examples: Marriage certificate or court order issued by your county’s family court.
(Please note: You must show a complete name change history that links your birth certificate name to your current name. If you have a valid U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card with your legal name, you may use that as your name change document)
- Common examples: Marriage certificate or court order issued by your county’s family court.
- Two Proofs of Current, Physical PA Address
- Common examples: Current, unexpired PA license or ID and vehicle registration, utility bill
