Travelers flying from Harrisburg International Airport will have more options than ever this spring—16% more seats are available now through April 30th compared to last year.
The expansion comes after HIA’s record-breaking 2025, when 1,623,324 passengers chose the airport. American and Allegiant set passenger records, while Delta posted its busiest year since 2019 and United its strongest performance since 2014.
American Airlines – 26% More Service
Central PA’s #1 airline is significantly expanding service:
Chicago O’Hare (up 132%): Daily departures increased to three flights on February 1st and will grow to four flights beginning April 8th. Starting February 13th, travelers will enjoy larger 128-seat Airbus 319 aircraft with First Class, Main Cabin Extra, and Main Cabin seating twice daily.
Boston (up 30%): Beginning April 8th, every flight id upgraded to 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft featuring First Class and premium seating options.
Charlotte (up 23%): Service expands from six to seven daily departures beginning February 15th, with larger aircraft added to select flights.
United Airlines – 37% More Service
The airport’s fastest-growing airline continues its momentum:
Chicago O’Hare (up 39%): Daily departures increase from four to six flights starting April 1st, with larger aircraft and expanded premium seating.
Washington Dulles (up 31%): Service increases to three daily departures, up from two in 2025.
Delta Air Lines – 16% More Service
Bigger planes and more frequencies to key hubs:
Detroit (up 51%): Service doubles to two daily flights on most days, with a third flight added May 21st.
Atlanta (up 7%): Larger aircraft including Airbus 319s, 320s, and Boeing 737s provide more capacity. A fourth daily flight begins June 7th.
Allegiant Air – Seasonal Routes Return
Nonstop leisure service resumes with flights to:
- Nashville, Fort Lauderdale, and Jacksonville (February 12-13)
- Myrtle Beach (April 2)
These routes complement year-round service to Orlando-Sanford, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Sarasota, and Punta Gorda.
