2025 HIA Thanksgiving Week Expected to Set New Record

Harrisburg International Airport anticipates its busiest Thanksgiving travel period ever. Between Tuesday, November 25 and Monday, December 1, HIA expects nearly 33,000 passengers—an 18% increase over 2024 and 11% more than the previous record set in 2019.

Busiest Travel Days:

  • Tuesday, November 25 (pre-Thanksgiving): 5,833 passengers
  • Saturday, November 29: 5,700 passengers
  • Monday, December 1 (return travel): 5,411 passengers
  • Wednesday, November 26 (day before Thanksgiving): 5,122 passengers

Lightest Travel Days:

  • Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving Day): 1,792 passengers
  • Friday, November 28: 4,082 passengers
