MIDDLETOWN, Pa., August 26, 2025 – Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) expects passenger traffic to set a new Labor Day weekend record, with nearly 25,000 travelers projected between Thursday, August 28 and Tuesday, September 2.

This year’s projection is about 11% higher than last year’s record, thanks to all five airlines offering more flights and seats compared to 2024.

Travel Highlights:

• Busiest Day: Friday, August 29, with more than 5,200 passengers expected.
• Lightest Day: Tuesday, September 3, with about 3,000 passengers expected.

Travel Tips:

• Arrive 2 hours early if parking in the long-term lot, or 90 minutes early if parking in the garage.
• If checking a bag, be sure to do so at least 1 hour before departure at your airline’s ticket counter.
• The busiest time at the TSA checkpoint will be between 4:30 – 6:00 a.m.
