This designation recognizes the Department’s dedication to maintaining rigorous standards in training, accountability, and community engagement—all of which contribute to a safer, more welcoming experience for everyone passing through Harrisburg International Airport (MDT).

By earning accreditation, the department reaffirms its commitment to providing proactive security measures, trustworthy service, and ongoing improvements. The accreditation also underscores the airport’s mission to keep every traveler and employee safe from the moment they arrive until the time they leave.
