Saturday flights to be flown between February 15th and March 29th, 2025
Harrisburg, PA – October 15, 2024 – American Airlines will offer seasonal, Saturday only nonstop flights to Miami International Airport (MIA) from Harrisburg International Airport (MDT), between February 15th and March 29th, 2025.
“American’s new nonstop Miami service provides central PA leisure and business travelers the opportunity to fly to South Florida, and beyond, from closer to home, saving hours of time and hassle driving to and from far away airports, on busy and congested highways,” said Timithy J. Edwards, Executive Director, Harrisburg International Airport.
“American looks forward to offering nonstop service between Harrisburg and our Miami hub in time for spring break next year,” said Jason Reisinger, American’s Managing Director of Global Network Planning. “For travelers looking to go to Miami or beyond, American’s flight is conveniently scheduled to give customers flexibility to plan their next sunny vacation.”
Miami will be American’s sixth nonstop destination from MDT in February and March, joining existing service to Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), and Philadelphia (PHL). American’s weekly flight will be timed for connections on American’s network to Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. American serves more than 80 destinations nonstop beyond Miami. The route will be flown on an American Embraer E175 aircraft which has room for 76 passengers including 12 First Class and 64 Main Cabin seats
American Airlines is central Pennsylvania’s most popular airline, and the largest in terms of passengers served at MDT. Edwards said, “If our region supports these flights, and they are profitable for American, we look forward to earning more Miami service in the future.”
