
Lt. Jon Greenawalt Graduates from the FBI National Academy
Harrisburg, PA, September 16, 2024 – The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) is proud to announce that Lt. Jon Greenawalt, a dedicated officer of the Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) Police Department, has successfully completed the 291st session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Lt. Greenawalt was one of 254 law enforcement officers selected from across the United States and internationally to attend the elite 10-week program, which focuses on advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. The FBI National Academy is renowned for its academic excellence, with graduates returning to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.

Greenawalt’s accomplishment,” said Chief Stephen Kiessling of the HIA Police Department. “Being selected for the FBI National Academy is a major achievement, with only a few officers from each state chosen to participate. We are thrilled to have him back with this advanced training, which will further enhance the safety and security of our airport community.”
Lt. Greenawalt expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am honored to be a graduate of the 291st session of the FBI National Academy. The FBI National Academy has been a symbol of excellence in law enforcement training since its inception in 1935. Over 55,440 officers have graduated from the program, enhancing public safety and leadership in agencies across the world. Lt. Greenawalt’s achievement reflects not only his dedication but also the commitment of the HIA Police Department to maintaining a high standard of security for travelers.
