Between Thursday, May 23rd and Tuesday, May 28th HIA expects around 23,400 passengers to fly into and out of the airport during the Memorial Day holiday travel week.

This is a 15% increase over 2023 and just 2% below 2019’s record.

The traffic increase is due to larger aircraft and more seats for sale on American to Charlotte (+68%), Chicago (+183%) and Dallas (+11%); to Detroit (+72%) on Delta; and to Ft. Lauderdale (+100), Sarasota (+100%) and Nashville (+19%) on Allegiant.
